SignalFire Introduces 3 New Features Enhancing Control and Ease of Set Up

Hudson, Ma. SignalFire Telemetry is introducing 3 new features to its SignalFire Wireless  Mesh Network:

Data Mirroring – More smart devices are being deployed in Upstream Oil and Gas, Water, and Process industries. SignalFire has released a Data Mirroring version of its Modbus-in-a-Stick. In Data Mirroring Mode the Modbus-in-a-Stick will extract a set of data from the SignalFire Gateway and make it available to a local smart device to be polled via Modbus. This means that a tank reading can be used to service multiple devices such as a variable speed pump and a remote shut down system while still providing the standard RTU interface at the gateway.

Expanded RTU Capabilities – SignalFire has expanded the logic steps that can be run in its Gateway- in-a-Stick to enhance its control capabilities. This will permit larger more sophisticated programmable controls systems to be run in the Gateway-in-a-Stick. The user interface is an easy to use, table driven utility that runs in the SignalFire Toolkit.

Improved HART Configuration Tools. The SignalFire Toolkit when connected to a Sentinel-Hart node can now automatically detect and configure a connected HART devices address. In many cases this can eliminate the need for an expensive HART Communicator.
